AI agent

Why it matters for Philippine businesses
The word agent is used loosely, so ask what a product actually decides by itself. A workflow that follows a fixed path with an AI step inside it is automation. A system that picks its own next action is an agent, and it needs tighter limits, logging and review because its path is not fixed in advance.
Example
A research assistant that decides which sources to search, reads them and writes a summary, without a person fixing the sequence of steps.
