AI chatbots compared: which one to use in the Philippines, and what each costs
Short answer
As of 12 Oct 2026, Google lists Gemini plans in pesos (Google AI Plus PHP 285 a month, Pro PHP 1,100), Claude Pro is US$17 a month on annual billing (about PHP 1,068), and Microsoft 365 Personal with Copilot is US$9.99 a month on its US page (about PHP 628). OpenAI’s ChatGPT pricing page could not be read, so its prices are not quoted. No ranking is claimed, because no side-by-side test has been run.

Which chatbot suits which need
The vendors’ pages support a few plain pairings. They do not support a ranking.
- Pesos on the invoice. Gemini is the only one of the four whose plan page showed prices in Philippine pesos, with the Philippines selected as the region.
- Work already in Microsoft 365. Copilot is built into Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams, with a licence requirement for the full version.
- Long documents and writing. Claude lists file creation, projects and web search on its plans. Whether that suits a task is for your own test.
- ChatGPT. Plan prices are not quoted because the vendor page could not be read. Check chatgpt.com/pricing.

The chatbots one by one
ChatGPT
OpenAI’s consumer plan pages blocked this site’s reader on 12 Oct 2026, so no plan, price or limit is quoted. OpenAI’s developer documentation lists the Philippines among supported countries for its API, and says data sent to the API is not used to train models unless you opt in. See the ChatGPT guide.
Gemini
Google’s subscription page, with the Philippines selected, listed Free at PHP 0, Google AI Plus at PHP 285 a month, Google AI Pro at PHP 1,100 a month and Google AI Ultra from PHP 5,999 a month. Plans are billed monthly and the page says “Cancel anytime”. It states that Plus is available in more than 160 countries and territories and Pro in more than 150, without naming the Philippines in a list.
Claude
Anthropic lists the Philippines among its supported countries for Claude.ai and the API. Pro adds more usage, Claude Code, unlimited Projects and Research. Max is from $100 a month. Team is $20 a seat a month billed annually or $25 monthly. See the Claude guide.
Microsoft Copilot
Copilot has several versions. Microsoft Learn describes Copilot Chat as included with eligible Microsoft 365 subscriptions at no extra cost for web-based chat, and the full Microsoft 365 Copilot as an add-on licence. It also notes that Copilot might not be accessible in certain markets and does not name the Philippines. See the Microsoft Copilot guide.
Meta AI was not included, because Meta’s pages could not be read on 12 Oct 2026.
Free tiers compared
Every vendor lists a free option except where the page was unreadable. Limits are described differently. Claude uses a rolling five-hour session window with no fixed message count. Gemini says usage limits refresh every 5 hours until a weekly limit is reached. These limits can change, so test the free tier on your own tasks before paying.
Paid plans in pesos
Peso amounts are shown two ways. Gemini’s are the vendor’s own peso prices. The others are conversions at USD 1 = PHP 62.821, labelled approximate. Gemini’s plans are billed monthly. Claude offers monthly and annual billing. The card issuer sets the conversion fee, and none of the vendors publishes it.
Best fit by task at work
No test has been run, so there is no task-by-task ranking. The documented features give a starting list to try:
- Writing. All four lists include text generation. Try the same brief on each.
- Analysis of sheets. Copilot lists Excel as an app where it works. Claude lists file creation and code execution. Gemini lists Canvas.
- Research with sources. Claude lists web search and Research on Pro. Copilot says its responses can be grounded in web data.
- Customer reply drafts. Draft with any of them, then review before sending. See the staff usage policy outline for the review step.
Privacy settings to check before work use
- Claude. On consumer plans, chats are used to improve Claude when the Model Improvement setting allows it, and incognito chats are excluded even then. Anthropic also lists conversations flagged for safety review and feedback ratings as other cases. Anthropic states that by default it does not use inputs or outputs from commercial products such as Claude for Work and the API for training.
- Microsoft Copilot. For the work version, Microsoft states that prompts, responses and data accessed through Microsoft Graph are not used to train the foundation models.
- Gemini and ChatGPT consumer plans. Not read. Check the account privacy settings.
- Chat history. Each vendor has its own history and deletion controls, and none was tested for this page.
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act, a business stays accountable for personal data it passes to a service. Do not paste customer personal data into a consumer plan.
A chatbot for personal use compared with one on a business Page
The chatbots above are assistants a person opens. A bot on a business Facebook Page answers customers on the business’s behalf and follows Meta’s rules. That is a different tool category. See AI chatbot platforms compared and what an AI chatbot is.
