What Salesforce is
Salesforce’s CRM page describes its product as “AI-powered, customer relationship management (CRM) software” and states that it is delivered as a software-as-a-service platform where Salesforce handles all hosting and maintenance. Its own SaaS page defines SaaS as “a way of delivering applications remotely over the internet instead of locally on machines.” So when people search for the meaning of “Salesforce” or “Salesforce as SaaS”, the vendor’s answer is: a cloud CRM that you subscribe to.
In practice a Philippine business uses it to hold leads, contacts, accounts and deals in one place, to track a sales pipeline, to log customer service cases, and to run campaigns from the same records. A CRM is not an ERP: for accounting, inventory and purchasing see what is ERP. Another CRM option is covered on the Zoho page.
Salesforce in the Philippines
Salesforce’s Philippines web page (salesforce.com/ph) returned “not found” when this site tried it on 12 Oct 2026. A Salesforce Asia Pacific press release dated 18 November 2025 says the company is expanding into the Philippines with an office at Ayala Triangle Gardens, Tower 2, in Manila, led by Abraham Cuevas as Regional Vice President and Country Manager. The release names these Philippine customers: Ayala Land, Bank of the Philippine Islands, Meralco, Philippine Airlines, PLDT, Maxicare and Converge ICT Solutions. It lists partners Accenture, Appistoki (part of the Novare Group), Ascendion, Deloitte and ValueHub, and says Agentforce for Service and Employee Agent is available in Tagalog. These are Salesforce’s own statements in a press release, not independently verified.

Salesforce’s page lists Starter Suite as including assistive AI with an Employee Agent, email nurture campaigns and lead scoring, built-in sales flows and lead routing, and a free Slack workspace connected to the CRM. Pro Suite adds enhanced real-time chat, sales quoting and forecasting, more customisation and automation, and AppExchange access. The page also states it is for information only and subject to change, and tells buyers to contact a sales representative for detailed pricing.
Salesforce lists the same editions in euros (€25 and €100) as well. Whether Philippine buyers are billed in dollars or another currency, and whether Philippine taxes are added, is not stated on the page. The final total appears in your quote.
Separate from licences, Salesforce lists Success Plans: Standard is included in all licences, Premier costs 30% of net licence fees, and Signature requires contacting an account executive. Add-ons, implementation and data storage costs are not covered by the prices above.
What Salesforce Flow automates
Salesforce Flow is Salesforce’s no-code automation tool, and Flow Builder is where flows are made. Salesforce’s Trailhead describes flows that either collect input from a user or run in the background:
- Screen flows present information and ask users questions.
- Autolaunched flows run when a button is clicked or when another automation starts them.
- Record-triggered flows fire when a record is created, changed or removed.
- Schedule-triggered flows run at a time and frequency you set.
- Platform event-triggered flows run when a platform event message arrives.
Salesforce’s documentation examples include creating, updating and deleting records and sending emails, such as creating a renewal opportunity when an opportunity closes.
This is automation inside Salesforce. Reaching other systems is where general tools come in.
Connecting Salesforce to other tools
- n8n. n8n has a Salesforce node covering accounts, attachments, cases, contacts, custom objects, documents, flows, leads, opportunities, tasks and users. Anything unsupported can go through the HTTP Request node with the same credential.
- Zapier. Zapier lists 41 Salesforce operations (9 triggers, 22 actions that change data, 8 queries and 2 search-or-write actions), connected by OAuth.
- The Salesforce API. Developers use Salesforce’s REST and other APIs, which both tools above call for you. Salesforce’s developer documentation could not be read when checked on 12 Oct 2026, so details are not given here. Read developer.salesforce.com.
Tools such as n8n and Zapier fit when a workflow starts in Salesforce and ends in Google Sheets, Slack or an accounting app. A webhook or an API call is the usual mechanism. The pillar guide explains the stages, and what is AI automation covers where an AI step belongs. Review any automation that writes to customer records, since an error repeats on every run.
