What Odoo is

Odoo is an ERP, short for enterprise resource planning: one system for the records a business keeps in separate tools, such as customers, quotes, stock, invoices and staff. Odoo’s pricing page says the Standard and Custom plans “include all apps for a single fee” and names Sales, eCommerce, Sign, Website, Accounting, CRM, Inventory, HR, Project and POS among them. Its CRM and accounting apps sit in the same database as sales and stock, so a quote, a delivery and an invoice are linked records.

Two points shape how people use it:

  • Open source and paid editions. Odoo describes itself as “open source”. Its footer lists a Community section with download and GitHub links. The pricing page sells the hosted and Enterprise offers. This site does not interpret licences, so check which edition you are installing before you plan around it.
  • One price, many apps. Odoo’s page says Standard and Custom plans include “unlimited support, hosting and maintenance”. The One App Free plan has one app and unlimited users.

Plans and prices in pesos

Odoo’s pricing page shows US dollars and no peso price. The page has a Yearly and a Monthly toggle. The figures below are the ones shown when the page was opened, which appeared to be the Yearly setting, so confirm on the page. Peso figures are conversions at USD 1 = PHP 62.821, the rate for 9 Oct 2026.

Swipe the table sideways to see all columns.

A footnote on the page says “The discount is valid for 12 months, for initial users ordered”, and another says the cost of Odoo.sh hosting is not included. Treat the lower figure as an offer for the first twelve months and the struck figure as the price after it.

Twenty users on the Standard plan at the struck $8.95 would cost $179 a month, about PHP 11,245. That is a multiplication of the published price, not a quote. Odoo’s page also carries a savings calculator that compares an app bundle with other vendors’ tools. That is Odoo’s own marketing and this site has not checked it.

Which plan has the External API

Odoo’s pricing page lists “External API” under the Custom plan only. The Standard plan’s listing does not include it. If a workflow tool or script needs to read and write Odoo records, confirm this with Odoo before you choose Standard. See API for the term, and the workflow guide for what automating around an ERP involves.

Hosting choices

The plan listing names three ways to run Odoo:

OptionOffered in
Odoo OnlineOne App Free, Standard, Custom
Odoo.shCustom, with hosting cost not included
On-premiseCustom

Odoo’s documentation has separate pages for Odoo Online, Odoo.sh and on-premise installs. On-premise moves updates, backups and server security to you. See n8n self-hosting in the Philippines for the issues any self-hosted tool raises.

Philippine accounting

Odoo’s 19.0 documentation has a Philippines page for its fiscal localization. It lists three modules: Philippines Accounting, Philippines Accounting Reports and Philippines Checks Layout. The documentation says the package includes:

  • A predefined chart of accounts and pre-configured tax rates: VAT of 12%, zero-rated VAT, exempt VAT, and withholding taxes (expanded, final and withholding VAT).
  • ATC codes used to generate BIR 2307, SAWT and QAP reports.
  • Reports named in the documentation: the 2550Q tax report, SAWT and QAP exports in .DAT format for the BIR Alpha module, and the Summary Lists of Sales and Purchases.
  • A check layout that follows the PCHC format.

One limit is stated in the documentation: “Odoo does not generate the BIR 2307 PDF report natively.” The exported .xls file must be converted to BIR DAT or PDF format. The documentation also says Odoo supports two payment providers for the Philippines: Xendit and AsiaPay.

This site does not advise on tax. Whether these reports meet your filing needs is a question for your accountant. Compare with QuickBooks, whose Philippine pages do not name specific BIR forms.

Who Odoo suits

Odoo Custom Only the Custom plan lists the External API.
A business with one narrow need, such as a CRM only
One App Free, or a single-purpose tool The free plan covers one app. Compare with HubSpot.
A business that wants only bookkeeping
Compare with QuickBooks A dedicated accounting tool may be the smaller change.

What to plan for

Setup is a project. An ERP replaces several tools at once. Odoo’s pricing FAQ lists implementation services as a question, and the answer was not read here, so ask about that cost.

Prices are in dollars, per user. The peso cost grows with the user count and moves with the exchange rate. Whether a Philippine-issued card is charged in dollars is decided by the issuer.

Customer and employee data. An ERP holds both. The Data Privacy Act of 2012 applies to the business, and the pillar guide covers National Privacy Commission points.

Online payments. Odoo’s documentation lists Xendit and AsiaPay. For how GCash payments can be taken and recorded, see the GCash for business guide.
