What a CRM is, in one line

A CRM keeps a record of every customer and prospect, and of each conversation and deal with them. If the term is new, read what a CRM is first. This page compares the tools, not CRM strategy.

Which CRM suits which need

The vendors’ pages support a few plain pairings. They do not support a ranking.

  • Starting with no budget. HubSpot, Zoho CRM and Bitrix24 each list a free plan. Compare the user limits first.
  • A small group sharing one account. Bitrix24 prices by organisation, not per person, with 5 users in its first paid plan. Zoho CRM prices per user.
  • Many connected apps. HubSpot says its free CRM connects to over 2,000 business apps. Check that the apps you use are on the list.
  • Pipedrive. Its pricing page blocked this site’s reader, so no plan is described. Check pipedrive.com.

The tools one by one

HubSpot

HubSpot’s product page describes its CRM as free with no expiration date, unlike a trial. It lists contact records, logging of sales activity and a view of communication history, connections to over 2,000 apps, and AI tools. It says a free account can be upgraded later “with no disruption, no data migration.” Paid-plan prices were not on the page this site could read.

Zoho CRM

Zoho’s pricing page lists a free edition “free forever for 3 users”, with four paid editions above it. Higher editions add workflows, process automation, CPQ and inventory management, per the page. Zoho’s currency selector showed rupees to this site’s reader, so no price is quoted. Open the page from the Philippines and read the price in the currency offered.

Bitrix24

Bitrix24 lists a free plan and paid plans sized by the number of users in the whole organisation, which can suit a small team that wants a fixed bill. Annual billing is cheaper on every plan listed. The plan page states prices per organisation per month.

Free plans compared

A free plan is a way to test a CRM on real work. Before you load customer data, read the free plan’s limits (users, storage, pipelines), the export options and the upgrade path. Move a small set of real contacts through a real sales process and see whether the team uses it. The decision will rest on how your team works, not on a feature count.

What to plan for in the Philippines

Dollar and rupee pricing. The prices read for this page are in dollars or rupees. The peso bill depends on the exchange rate and your card issuer’s fee. Neither is published by these vendors.

Customer data. A CRM holds personal information. Under the Data Privacy Act (Republic Act No. 10173), a business must have a lawful basis for processing it (Section 12), use reasonable security measures (Section 20) and stay accountable for data a vendor processes for it (Section 21). Choose the data region and sharing settings with that in mind, and ask your data protection officer. This is not legal advice.

Messaging channels. Many Philippine sales conversations happen in Messenger, Viber or WhatsApp. Check whether a CRM connects to the channels you use. The chatbot platforms comparison covers the bot side.

CRM and automation

A CRM becomes more useful when it receives leads without anyone retyping them. A workflow tool such as n8n or Zapier can take a form or message and create a contact in the CRM, then notify the owner. Check each CRM’s app listing for the triggers and actions it supports. The workflow automation guide helps choose the first process to automate.
